Raspberry Pi
We use a Raspberry Pi as the main processor and board.
Raspberry Pis are equipped with almost everything an XR headset needs:
- MIPI camera interface (CSI)
- IMU Slot / GPIO
- Debian Linux
- VideoCore low-power mobile multimedia processors
- Hardware Accelerated Video Encoding/Decoding
- OpenGL support
- WiFi & Ethernet
- HDMI output
- Bluetooth
- USB ports to support peripheral devices
- Low-power consumption
We do not enforce users on a specific model. You may use the following:
- Zero: W / 2 W
- 3: B / B+ / A+
- 4: B
We tested with Zero W and 3B+.
We recommend:
- using a model with multiple cores (i.e. not Zero W) and higher clock frequencies,
- using the official charger & cable if working with an AC power plug.
